A LIBRARY'S home is very much its castle at a Stockton school.

Dreamy turrets and yellow stonework house the books at Rosehill infants' school after limited space meant the only place staff could find for the library was in the entrance.

The castle was made by a local joiner. Then, with ideas from staff and Saltburn artist Helen Gaunt, the magical place was created. Rosehill head teacher Jane Sutcliffe said: "Instead of building castles in the sky we built one at school. Our library is now a cosy, exciting, magical place.

"The children have all said: 'It's lovely ... it's wonderful'."

The castle, with its yellow walls, butterflies and roses by the door, will accommodate a class of pupils for story-telling.
