POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a two-car accident near Bishop Auckland on Saturday evening.
Two blue Vauxhall Corsas were in collision at 6.45pm at the junction of the A68 and Greenfields Road, High Etherley.
One driver, a 38-year-old man from Hunwick, was taken to Bishop Auckland General Hospital with whiplash injuries.
The other driver, who was aged 18 and came from Redhouses, was unhurt.
Police believe a red hatchback, possibly a J-registered Vauxhall Nova, was in Greenfields road at about the same time.
