THE project to build a new annexe to a town hall is expected to be completed towards the end of next month.
With work on the exterior under way, efforts are being concentrated on the interior of the hall, at Thirsk, North Yorshire.
The town hall management committee is planning to hold an open day soon, for local people to view the new development.
The building comprises an entrance lobby, toilets - including facilities for the disabled - meeting rooms, kitchen and storage space.
The internal work is expected to be completed on June 18 with the outside due for completion a week later, due to delays installing the gas supply.
Committee chairman Mark Robson said: "We want to have an open day so people can walk round.
"We are going to wait for a final completion date before we organise that, but a rough guide would probably be the end of June or beginning of July."
