YOUNGSTERS experienced the ups and downs of cycling during a hilly ride at the weekend.
Mountain biking enthusiasts, including Derek Bell, 12, and Glenn Dack, 13, above, gathered at Summerhill, in Hartlepool, on Saturday for a Cyclo Day for under-18s, organised as part of the site's festival fortnight and the Health Action Zone initiative Get Up and Go. Participants enjoyed the thrills and spills of the hilly, off-road course, while benefiting from the fresh air and exercise.
