PEOPLE in Darlington have just one more opportunity to become the town's poetry champion.
The closing date for the United Press UK Poetry Championship is approaching, and more entries are needed.
One poet will represent Darlington in an annual Best of British Poetry book. Their entry will also be included in a National Poetry Anthology.
Aspiring poets should send three unpublished poems, on any subject, up to 20 lines long and 160 words each, to United Press, 1 Yorke Street, Burnley, BB11 1HD. The closing date is June 30. Entrants should enclose a stamp if they want confirmation of receipt
