A FASHION show with a difference turned catering clothes into catwalk chic yesterday.

The Food for Thought Business Club, run by Stockton Borough Council, hosted a fashion event to show off the latest styles in catering uniforms.

The event, at Middlesbrough College, was given a Spanish flavour with salsa music and tapas provided by the college's catering students.

Judith Sunderland, of Stockton council, said: "People want clothing that looks good, is easy to move around in and is enjoyable to wear.

"Styles are becoming much less formal, and colour is also making a comeback."

People were invited to watch the show, alongside officials from the catering industry interested in the latest chic look for chefs
