Olympic triple jump champion Jonathan Edwards picked up another honour today when he received a CBE from the Queen.
The 35-year-old world record holder followed his success at the Sydney Games with a trip to Buckingham Palace.
The Newcastle-based star said: "When I received the letter saying I was being considered for a CBE, I was really taken aback."
