CHILDREN with special needs can attend an out of school hours club.
The club will be based at Sunningdale School, in Wearside, and was set up with a £50,000 grant from the Government's New Opportunities Fund.
It will run breakfast, after- school and holiday sessions and include activities ranging from arts and crafts to games and team-building exercises.
Before they join the club, children will be assessed so the club can ensure staff have the right kind of skills to care for their needs.
There will be an open evening tonight to enable parents to meet the staff, and to find out more about what is on offer.
