CENTURY FM DJ Paul "Goffy" Gough is hoping to top the region's charts for the second time, with a another compilation of his best wind-up telephone calls.
The breakfast show presenter is famous for his prank calls, in which he winds up unsuspecting people live on air.
Goffy's first compact disc of the best of his wind-up calls went straight to the top spot at Christmas, and its success has prompted the release of volume two.
He said yesterday: "It was the best Christmas present of all to be at the top of the region's charts.
"It would be great to do it the second time around. Our listeners absolutely love the wind-up calls and this gives them the chance to listen to some of the best, even if they have heard them before."
The disc is likely to be in big demand - particularly by Goffy's celebrity following, which includes Sunderland AFC boss Peter Reid, who featured in volume one.
Goffy is touring branches of the HMV chain in the region signing copies of the release, which can also be bought direct from Century FM, on 0191-477 6666.
