POLICE seized more than a dozen cannabis plants in a midmorning raid on Teesside yesterday.
A member of the public tipped off the community police team, based at Melbourne House in Middlesbrough, about the illegal drugs.
The police secured a search warrant to raid a property in the town.
A spokesman for Cleveland Police said that officers also seized tools used for the cultivation of the plants from the unidentified house in Middlesbrough.
No arrests have been made and the police said anyone with information is asked to call Melbourne House, in confidence, on (01642) 245183.
