TODDLERS found out what it was like to get married earlier this week.
Pupils at Esh Winning Nursery School, near Durham City, held their own wedding ceremony as part of a project on celebrations.
The youngsters dressed up for their different roles and took part in a church ceremony and reception, complete with three-tier wedding cake.
They also set up a display table in their classroom, with a wedding dress and other memorabilia donated by school staff.
Teacher Linda Hutchinson said: "They had a wonderful time.
"They have been studying celebrations this term, and they have been talking about the kind of celebrations they will have during their lifetime."
Earlier in term, they went to St Paul's Church,Esh Winning, for a christening, and held a birthday party for their new hamster.
