A VIDEO promoting Masham-shire is now complete, and before it is officially launched a photography competition for the front cover is being organised by Mashamshire association of tourism and trade.
The winner will get films, an album and discount on developing. The children's and second prize winners' entries will also appear on the back of the video. There will also be a display of most of the photos at Masham sheep fair this year.
The competition will be judged by Michael Dunne, who has 50 years' experience working as an international photographer for magazines all over the world.
People can enter up to ten photos representing Masham and Mashamshire. Entry is 50p per image for adults or 25p per image for children.
The photos or slides should be in colour and clearly marked with name and address, contact number and number or title of the image.
Entry forms are available from Howden's newsagent in Masham or by sending an sae to MATT photo competition, 24 Market Place, Masham, HG4 4EB. Deadline for entries is next Saturday.
