Foster's Northumberland and Tyneside Senior League Under-18s - Despite scoring 110 for five, which included 39 by Shaw and 30 from Phillips, Sacriston lost by three wickets to Shotley Bridge whose matchwinners with the bat for David Ringer with 42 and Mark Shaw (23).

Glen Shaw a good game for Sacriston taking three wickets for 22 runs after top-scoring with 39. Phillips (30) also batted well for Sacriston and for the Bridge, Charlton returned figures of 3-27.

Mark Stoneman hit 13 boundaries in 73 not out leading Burnopfield to 130-4 at Chopwell who were 57-4 when their overs expired. Stuart Atkinson claimed three wickets in two overs without conceding a run in the Burnopfield attack.

Although they scored just 63-7 which included 25 by Wake, Swalwell had 17 runs to spare defeating Crookhall who were all out for 46 as Bryant took 4-14, Cawthorne 3-11 and Craig 2-4.

David Dolan carried his bat for 78 and Lumley ended undefeated on 51 when Lintz romped to 133-1 at Greenside who responded with 110-8 including 30 by Suraj Ali. Forster captured four wickets for 25 runs and Moody took 2-33 for Lintz.

John Campbell, with 42, was Whickham's match-winner with the bat against Consett who batting first ended on 87-6. Whickham lost just four wickets reaching their target.

Sacriston will play Whickham at home in the final of the League Cup after defeating Blaydon in the delayed semi final tie by eight wickets. Mark Swailes and Richard Hilton both took three wickets and Glen Shaw claimed a couple when Blaydon totalled 78-9 before Shaw, with two sixes and seven fours in 58, led Sacriston home.

Boddingtons Durham Coast League Under-18s

Murton's batsmen were in good form against Boldon CA and a total of 109-6 proved too big for the opposition.

Michael Watson led the way scoring 35 and both Aidan Vout and Alan Wellburn contributed 30 while for Boldon CA, Johnson captured four of the six wickets to go down for 35 runs. Replying, the visitors were pegged to 80-7 as Vout took two wickets for just four runs and Andrew Naylor had 2-20.

John Spellman ended undefeated on 34 in Castle Eden's eight-wickets victory against Hylton. Both the wickets were taken by John Rushworth for just 11 runs and when Hylton made first use of the wicket and totalled 87-7, Martin top-scored with 21. Steve Bell was the pick of the Castle Eden bowlers with two wickets for 14 runs.

Dawdon needed just eight overs and did not conceded a wicket defeating Silksworth. Anthony Gale carried his bat for 41 and Craig Price struck an unbeaten 26 while for Silksworth, Ledger top-performed with 28 not out in a total of 77-1.

South Hetton overtook the Bill Quay score of 82-6 losing only five wickets.

Craig Fawcett (26) and Shaun Bradbury (25) were among the runs and for Bill Quay, Andrew Trotter captured three wickets for just 21 runs.
