AN airport has struck a deal to ensure more people can read its own travel magazine.

Teesside International Airport and the North-East Mailing Centre, in Washington, Wearside, have struck a deal to distribute the magazine, called Flightlines.

The centre will also handle the advertising for the magazine, which gives information on holidays, late offers and the weather.

Pascal Fintoni, of the airport, said: "We are delighted that the North-East Mailing Centre will be working with us to ensure that 30,000 copies of Flightlines are distributed to travel centres, organisations and operators in the Tees Valley and beyond.

"We have recently changed the format of the magazine and it has proved so popular that we have doubled the print run."
