A CLUB set up with the aim of meeting the needs of the deaf and those with hearing difficulties is keen to attract new members.
Northallerton District Centre for the Deaf, a registered charity established in February last year, meets on Fridays, at 8pm, at the Three Horse Shoes pub in Brompton.
Meetings are open on a family basis to the deaf, or hearing impaired, who can make friends and learn and use sign language skills in a friendly environment.
The club is open to ideas for fundraising events. So far, it has held sponsored walks, raffles and bingo sessions.
