Durham and District League - Ever Ready/Craghead extended their lead at the top of the First Division to three points after they only dropped two points to the visiting Langley Park, while their main challengers, Leeholme were stretched before winning by just two points at Bowburn.

Crook Glenholme lost valuable ground in their title tilt when they went down at home to Coxhoe.

Ever Ready/Craghead beat Langley Park by 101 shots to 59.

In the Second Division, Stockton Elm Tree are struggling to meet their fixture commitments and postponed their third match of the season, leaving them with a major re-arrangement programme before the deadline date of Saturday, August 25.

Sherburn Village moved back into promotion contention in the Second Division after they whitewashed the visiting Addison Park with an 85-68 shots win.

This defeat for the Moors leaves Cockton Hill and Sherburn Village clear in the top two spots with just three matches to go.

Willington moved to the top of the Second Division with a maximum home win over Spennymoor B, while former leaders, Wolsingham crashed without scoring at Chilton. This moves Willington into a three points lead at the top.

The maximum Willington win was closer than it seems for they took two of the rinks by a single shot, although the overall match score was Willington 65 Spennymoor B 43.
