JUDGEMENT Day arrived in Saltburn this week with the town bracing itself for a good performance in the Britain In Bloom competition. The east Cleveland seaside town is a stalwart in the Northumbria In Bloom, Britain In Bloom and Nations In Bloom event, and has scored several successes, inncluding a third place in Washington DC, US, and runner- up in the United Arab Emirates.
The town has been plucked, pruned, preened and spruced up for the judges' arrival, and now fingers must be kept crossed until the winners are announced later in the year.
The judges were given a tour of the town and shown the hanging baskets, shrubs and other floral attractions.
