DIABETES sufferers in the Northallerton area have been given a boost by a cash donation to a local club.
Northallerton and District Diabetic Club has received a £2,600 grant from the Lloyds TSB Foundation.
The money will go towards the cost of setting up a new exercise programme and publishing information leaflets.
The grant provided a further boost for the club, which had recently been successful in raising funds for equipment for the diabetic clinic at the Friarage Hospital.
The club offers support to people with diabetes, their families and carers, and about 25 people attend monthly meetings
