HEALTH bosses in Teesside are finding out the public's views on modernising NHS services in the region.
People registered with family doctors in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland are being asked for their views on the proposals, which form part of the Government's plans.
It is hoped that two primary care trusts will be set up to work more closely with other organisations involved in improving people's health and wellbeing.
The trusts would replace the existing primary care groups and the health authority said it was hoped the system would give doctors, nurses and local people more say in health care decisions.
One trust would cover Redcar, Marske, Saltburn, Skelton, Loftus and Guisborough and the other Middlesbrough and Eston from April next year.
People have until September 27 to give their views to the Tees Health Authority. A full document giving more details is available by phoning (01642) 304003.
