Stephen White will be hoping to prove the adage 'things come in threes' when he represents his country in the Inter Nations Karting Cup next month, writes CRAIG STODDART.

Having won in England colours at the event in 1998 and 99, Stephen is looking to keep up his 100 per cent record by taking the seniors category at the third time of asking.

Competing against 24 other drivers from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, the 20-year-old from Ousten, near Chester-le-Street, will travel to Wales hoping to make up for his absence at the event last year.

Twelve months ago he missed the prestigious competition as he was already committed to the British Championships which took place at the same time.
