A man appeared in court yesterday for causing unnecessary suffering to a horse, which had been tethered near Bishop Auckland.
Steven Walker, 45, from Central Avenue, St Helens, pleaded not guilty and will appear again before Bishop Auckland Magistrates' Court on December 17.
