City of Durham

The Dragonflies Under-8s performed very well in their 2-0 defeat against local rivals Durham County.

In the Dragonflies' second game they earned a well deserved 2-1 win over Fulwell with both goals from Stephen Ramm. Man of the match was Dylan Beadle.

The Hornets first game of the day finished 0-0 Barnes Park. Their

second saw two goals each for Luke Sproates and Edward Davison and a

Charlie D'arcy strike secured a 5-0 victory over Town Castle Rovers.

The Mosquitos Under-9s lost a very physical game against Durham County Hays 2-1 after a fine strike by Lewis Thompson had given Durham the lead.

Despite further attempts the equaliser remained elusive.

In their second game all was forgotten as Liam Robson went on the rampage scoring four times to give Durham a deserved win despite a spirited comeback by East Durham Houghall CC who netted three times. Man of the match was Liam Robson.

The Midges team were beaten by Chester 2-0 and later by Easington Falcons 3-1. Craig Mountain scored his first goal for the Midges and the first goal for the team this season.

The Hornets Under-10s had an excellent first game against Washington Envelopes resulting in a 3-0 win with Lewis Harrison scoring the first two goals and Jake Richardson scored the third. The second game resulted in a 0-0 draw against Boldon Colts.

The Spiders first game against Whitburn and Cleadon resulted was lost 2-0, the goal was scored by Cameron Patterson. Their second match against SAFC 24/7 Girls ended 1-1 with Cameron Patterson scoring in this match also.

The Scorpions lost their first match 2-1 against Albion Juniors with

Joseph Wiseman scoring for the Scorpions.

In their second match they battled well against Durham County Midgies which resulted in a 0-0 draw.

The Wasps Under-11s were disappointed to lose 3-1 to Riverside in the Russell Foster Premier League.

Without their keeper Craig Grainger, who was running in the Junior Great North Run, they battled well and despite not making the most of

their chances got on the scoresheet with an own goal.

The Bees were back to full strength for their game against Durham County, but for the second week running found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline. Curt Pickford and Liam Crampton did well at the back and the boys just need a bit of luck in front of goal.

The Under-11s 11-a-side squad recorded their first win when they played their old rivals Byers Green away. In difficult conditions they got off to a flying start with a penalty in the first minute, converted by Jamie Abbott. Further goals from Jamie, Mickey Nicholson and Joe Hughes gave the boys a comfortable win.

The Pumas Under-12s gave a another fine performance against a very organised SAFC 24/7 team.

Olly Hotchkiss opening the game with a well-taken penalty, Jimmy Marwood added to the score with a great effort taken calmly around the keeper.

Hotchkiss then added to his goal tally with a further four. The game ended in 6-1 for the Pumas.

The Panthers again played some lovely football and were very unlucky to lose 2-1 to an experienced Birtley St Joseph's side. Micky Lynch scoring for the Panthers.

In a fine team display, the Under-13s went ahead by two goals in the first half through a tremendous 30 yard free-kick from Seb Coady and a well taken goal from Michael Bough.
