THE penultimate horse race meeting of the season gets under way at a North-East course on Tuesday.
Satellite Information Services (SIS), the producers of The Racing Channel, is sponsoring the seven-race event at Redcar racecourse.
The feature race of the day will be the SIS Handicap Stakes over seven furlongs.
It is hoped that champion jockey Kevin Darley and trainer Tim Easterby will be on hand to be presented with Waterford crystal trophies for finishing as leading jockey and trainer on the flat in Yorkshire this season. The first race starts at 12.35pm.
l Racegoers will be well catered for at Redcar's final fixture of the season, on Monday, November 5, when racecourse catering outlets will be offering food at half the normal price.
The offer is to celebrate both the end of the season and the commendation of the racecourse's Crow's Nest restaurant in the Boursot Racecourse Catering Awards
