SIX puppies are looking for new homes.
The tiny labrador-cross puppies were taken from their mother at just six weeks old because they lived in a busy home and their owner could not cope. The animals are now staying at a foster home in Sedgefield until a permanent place can be found for them.
There were originally seven puppies, but one has already found a new place to live.
Pauline Wilson, of the National Animal Sanctuary Support League, said: "Despite being just six weeks old, they are very active.
"They are adorable - real chocolate box puppies -and they will make someone a lovely pet."
The puppies need someone who is at home most of the day to look after them.
They will need a lot of attention until they are at least six months old but are suitable to be housed with other animals and children.
Anyone interested in the puppies should telephone (01325) 321855
