A BOOK fair planned for the weekend is already proving to be a novel experience.
Ormesby Hall, Middlesbrough, has been inundated with thousands of books for the first book fair it has held.
Ian Brockbank, event organiser, said: "At the last count we had in the region of 5,000 to 6,000 fiction books alone, and they are still coming in.
"They range from excellent hardback classics and holiday reading to romance from Mills and Boon.
"The non-fiction section has thousands of superb hardbacks in all categories, ranging from cookery, travel, history, needlework and many, many more."
There will be second-hand as well as new books on sale.
The fair is on Sunday and runs from 1pm to 5pm.
