THE changes wrought by time on the landscape of God's own county are illustrated in a new calendar produced by North Yorkshire County Council.
Pictures from the past have been drawn from the portfolio of photographer Bertram Unne, who worked for the local authority in Harrogate from the 1940s through to the 1970s.
When he retired in 1979, he sold his entire collection to North Yorkshire County Council.
The authority has now commissioned photographer Richard Jemison to revisit a selection of the Unne's locations, capturing them on film once again.
The new calendar, produced with Christmas in mind, shows the old alongside the new, clearly showing how the settings have altered over the years.
Copies, priced at £5, are available from most libraries or by telephoning (01609) 767800.
