THE region's allotment holders have been invited to a seminar to hear views and advice on a range of gardening topics.
The Gardening Afternoon, organised by the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners, is free and takes place in Stockton later this month.
Speakers include Brian Haynes, managing director of King's Seeds, the major seed supplier to the UK's 500,000 allotment tenants, and Peter Bennett, an expert on greenhouse gardening.
There will also be a talk by Paul Archer, of Willington, County Durham, on the regeneration of old allotment sites with the Groundwork Trust.
The event takes place on Saturday, November 24, from 2pm to 4.30pm, at Hardwick Social Club, Harrowgate Lane, Stockton.
