Chester-le-Street Town

THE Under-16s progressed to the third round of the League Cup with a comfortable away victory at Redhouse & Downhill.

Harry Cattell's side, lying third in the league, were leading 2-1 at the interval and finally ran out 4-1 winners. Joe Nichol (2), Gavin Bowen, Steven Borouround getting the goals.

The Under-17s won 13-0 at Hetton - and that was despite being minus the services of injured striker Craig Ellison who had netted five goals the previous day when he had turned out for the Durham County FA Youth side at Westmorland, along with fellow club players Mark Harrison and Andrew Dawson.

The Gestrians were leading 3-0 at half time against Hetton but added a further ten goals in the second half. Elliott Rose (3), Andrew Green (2), David Lowther (2), Stephen Dawson, Andrew Dawson, Andrew Murray, Andrew Coulson, Richard Duff and Mark Adamson grabbed the goals.

The Under-18s return to action at the weekend with a home league game against Jarrow St Bedes (Moor Park, 2pm).

Bishop Auckland St Mary's

THE team maintained their 100 per cent record in the Teesside Junior Alliance with a comfortable 6-0 victory away to Yarm Town.

Sean Fothergill, on as a substitute late in the first half, scored a fine

hat-trick.

Laurence Oliver (2) and Craig Robson were the other Auckland scorers in an all-round team display. St Mary's have now won seven out of seven in the league, scoring 27 goals and conceding only five.

THE Under-13s won 10-1 at home to Easington in the league cup with man of the match Lewis Hope scoring four goals.

Ryan Young and Warren Roberts got

two goals apiece, and there was one each from Anthony Bakuris and Jon

Richardson.

The Under-14s, playing their seventh consecutive away game, won 9-0 away to Jarrow St. Bedes in the county cup
