THE story of a family split by rows over their inheritance is the next production by the Richmond Amateur Operatic Society.
A run of The Curious Savage, by John Patrick, starts at the town's Georgian Theatre Royal next Thursday with performances every night until Saturday, November 10.
Lynne Kerr plays the lead role of Mrs Savage, a rich widow who decides to spend her money on her unfulfilled dreams - to the horror of her children who would prefer her to keep it.
However, opinions change as the story unfolds.
The play includes Richmond debuts for Dee Priestley, who plays a nurse, and Paul Holmes, who plays one of the residents of a residential home for people with mental problems.
The curtain goes up at 7.30pm each evening. Tickets, priced from £3, are available by telephoning the Box Office on (01748) 823021
