KAYLEIGH Bennison, from Yarm, will make her debut at next year's Blue Chip finals at Solihull after winning the Krailburg Coral novice qualifier at Richmond equestrian centre.

She took the 26-starter class on Falconbridge Fair Lady in a ten-pony jump off over Keith McVitie's course.

Samantha Jimmeson took the newcomers with Lynwood Misty Blue ahead of Jade Pringle on Forge Freeway, while Sarah Martin and Esselle took the 1m open ahead of Adam Valks on Royal Declan.

Stephanie Robinson scored a double win with her Wembley finalist Little Irish Lad, while Jodie Ward took the winter 138cm qualifier.

The seniors the previous week produced some good wins, especially for Vicky Wood with Ferndale Legal Romany, who won the British novice ahead of former international rider Penny Wilson on Ringfort.

Sarah Blakey rode Ferndale Summer Breeze to victory in the Discovery, while other winners were Sarah Sutton on Deeside Downpour, Ian Hammond with Diadem Lady Gatehouse and Jane Lishman on Mandy's Lad.

l The winter championship show at Holmside Park, which was postponed due to the foot-and-mouth crisis in April, produced some good jumping over Walter Taylor's tracks.

Amanda Cowan and Dovecote Jilly took the winter open championship ahead of Phillippa McKeever on Crown Alliance and Thirsk's Sarah Russell on Toodjay. Amanda also won the 1.25m open from Sarah's other ride Calando.

Margaret Swinburn rode Springwell Double Deal to win the Hadrian Equine intermediate championship ahead of Katherine Leak on King Leonarcis and Steven Wright with Foxhunter winner Educated Risk.

Linzi Fox took the top two places in the British novice with Foxmill Nevada and Nebraska, while Joanne Bailey and May Design won the Discovery ahead of Sean Bowden on Gideon's Gold
