Woman cut free on A66

A WOMAN suffered head injuries in an accident involving a car and a light goods vehicle on the westbound A66, near Barnard Castle, last night.

The woman, who had to be freed by firefighters, was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The accident happened near the turn-off to Boldron at 6.50pm.
