FURNITURE store staff backed a pioneering foster care project with a £200 donation from their fun day.
Customers at MFI, in Middlesbrough, supported the store's fundraising efforts for the Community Placement North-East project, which provides family-based placements with skilled foster carers for young people aged from 11 to 17.
John Foster, general manager at the branch, made the presentation.
Keith Miller, from the project, said: "The donation is very much appreciated. It will allow us to help furnish a young person's room at one of our foster placements."
Mr Foster said: "It is great to run an event like this. It means we can reciprocate the support we receive from the community and help a local charity at the same time."
