A WELL-LOVED Leyburn primary schoolteacher has died, aged 96.
Many of those who attended the funeral of Ciceley Robinson at St Matthew's Church were former pupils.
She taught several generations during her 44-year career at Leyburn Primary School.
She lived in St Matthew's Close, Leyburn, for many years before recently moving to nearby Lochiel House.
She loved to tour and walk in the Yorkshire Dales. She took an active part in the local Women's Institute, Probus and luncheon clubs as well as both national and local history. She travelled in this country and abroad, and even flew in a hot air balloon over Wensleydale when she was in her eighties.
