FAITH, Hope and Charity is the title of a public artwork soon to grace Newcastle's Metro system.
Cullercoats Metro station, on the route from Newcastle to the North Tyneside coast, has been chosen to host the work by local artist Steve Hines.
Featuring a red spotlight, which becomes a red heart, projected on to the corner wall of the southbound platform near the bridge, the display is designed to symbolise warmth and love.
Steve Hines, working in partnership with Metro operators Nexus, said: "I conceived the work around my own feelings of optimism, with the promise of warmth and love. It is a hopeful piece of work."
A Nexus spokesman said: "We feel public art on the Metro system is important. It enhances the passenger experience and makes travelling on the Metro an altogether more pleasant event.
