BREAKING wind, using unintentional double-entendres and falling off the chair are just some of the most embarrassing moments during job interviews.
Other anecdotes from red-faced job seekers include bras and buttons bursting open, forgetting your own name and telling lies.
The survey by reed.co.uk, which finds that one-in three skilled workers now hunt online for their next job, says interviews are the most stressful part of finding a new job.
Seventy six per cent of job seekers feel the interview is the worst part of the whole process, with people in their 40s getting the most stressed.
Paul Rapacioli, director of reed.co.uk, said: "Everyone gets stressed at interviews. If something goes wrong, just remember that you are not the only one to experience problems.
"Take a deep breath to help yourself calm down and take time to think about how best to answer the next question."
