A £5.6m scheme to turn a Northern landmark into one of Europe's biggest tourist attractions will be completed by Easter.
The new visitors' centre and restored cobbled garden courts at Whitby Abbey, North Yorkshire, will be open from March 30.
It is hoped that the project will encourage more people to visit the abbey and find out more about the town.
The project has included work to improve the car parking layout, landscaping of the headland area and improvements to the access to the site.
Visitors will be able to enter the centre via a new bridge from the abbey grounds, or through the garden court.
