PROJECT workers on the North Yorkshire and Cleveland coast area looking for volunteers to help them clean up the beaches at Staithes and Runswick Bay.
Heritage Coast countryside projects officer Liz Kelly will be on hand to provide special pickers and litter bags to collect the debris, as well as survey sheets to record what has been found.
This information will be passed to the Marine Conservation Society for use in its campaign to raise awareness about marine debris issues.
The clean-ups are part of North Yorkshire and Cleveland Heritage Coast's environmental improvement and conservation initiative along the coastline from Saltburn to Scarborough, funded by a grant from the environmental body, Yorventure.
The clean-ups take place at Staithes on Saturday and at Runswick Bay on Sunday as part of the Marine Conservation Society's Adopt A Beach initiative.
