YOUNGSTERS in Gateshead are to battle it out to discover which is the borough's healthiest and safest school.
Gateshead Borough Council's Children's Health and Safety quiz will test primary school pupils' knowledge of health and safety issues.
The children will be asked about diet, nutrition, dental health, safety and fitness, and will take part in practical exercises and video clip rounds.
Defending champions Chop-well will compete against Lindisfarne Community, Glyn-wood Community, St John the Baptist RC, Swalwell, South Street Community, Blaydon West and Dunston Riverside Community primary schools at Gateshead Civic Centre, on Friday.
The council's Physical Health and Social Education roadshow visited the challengers last term, and the quiz is to show how much has been learnt by pupils.
