POLICE have renewed an appeal for information to help them identify vandals who pulled down a village Christmas tree.
Three youths have been captured on closed circuit television footage destroying the tree on Sedgefield green.
It was knock over at about 1.30pm on December 29, in the latest in a series of attacks.
PC Keith Todd, beat bobby for Sedgefield, said: "The CCTV picked up three lads, who look like youths, coming from the Ceddesfeld area. They went across the green to the tree, knocked it over, then ran off."
The tree was too badly damaged to salvage.
