Whitby Town are joint top of the UniBond Fair Play league.

The seasiders have picked up 17 yellow cards and one red in their 18 league games so far, a 20 point tally which is the same as league leaders Burton Albion.

Bishop Auckland are joint eighth with 39 yellows, while Gateshead have 26 yellows and six red for a 44 point total. Blyth are one point further behind.

In the First Division, Spennymoor United are tenth with 35 points.

Spennymoor can still reach the quarter finals of the UniBond League Cup if they win their last two matches - or they could fail to qualify for any of the league's three cups.

Tony Lee's side has two group matches remaining, against Bishop Auckland on Wednesday and Gretna the week after, and if they win them both by an aggregate of three goals, then they will pip Blyth for the group winners spot.

Depending on their results, they could qualify for the Presidents Cup for group runners up, or the Chairman's cup for third placed teams.

But if they lose both games, then they will be eliminated completely.

If Bishops beat Spennymoor, then they will qualify for the Presidents Cup.

Confusing, perhaps, but there is much more apathy from clubs towards a group system which for the second successive year has taken nearly four months to come to a conclusion.

The draw for the quarter final of the league cup is: Accrington Stanley v Emley, Bradford or Guiseley v Blyth or Spennymoor, Kendal v Trafford, Matlock v North Ferriby

the draw for the quarter final of the Presidents Cup is: Altrincham v Gainsborough, Burscough v Ashton United or Droylsden, Leek v Guiseley or Bradford, Workington or Barrow v Bishop Auckland or Gateshead, or Spennymoor, or Blyth

The draw for the quarter final of the Chairman's cup is: Bishop Auckland or Gateshead, or Spennymoor, or Blyth v Hucknall, Droylsden or Ashton United v Chorley, Vauxhall Motors v Worksop, Group 3 third place v Group 2 second place

Meanwhile, Whitley Bay's decision not to seek promotion from the Northern League at the end of the season will be good news for the club which finishes third bottom of the UniBond League, because only two clubs will now be relegated from the UniBond League First Division, instead of three.
