SINCE the draw for the FA Cup fourth round was made last Sunday, Feethams has understandably been buzzing in anticipation of a visit from Premiership giants Newcastle United.

Manager Tommy Taylor faces the difficult task of getting his players focused on the more mundane, but equally important, challenge of picking up vital league points at Kidderminster Harriers tomorrow.

Only then can he concentrate on clearing the obstacle to his team's glamorous meeting with the high-flying Magpies. Peterborough United will come to Darlington on Tuesday night for the rearranged third round tie - postponed last Saturday - themselves motivated by the prospect of a money-spinning encounter with the Toon Army.

Taylor believes the Quakers fans can play a big part in overcoming Barry Fry's team by turning up in numbers and getting behind the players.

Darlington will hope to go into the cup match on a high by getting something from the visit to Kidderminster, who have clearly improved since looking a poor side when they lost 2-0 at Feethams early in the season.

They now stand just outside the promotion play-off places, although Tuesday night's 4-1 home defeat by Luton Town was a major setback.

Quakers will still be without striker Barry Conlon, who completes his suspension, but should have several experienced players back in contention for a place.

They will not include goalkeeper Frank van der Geest and forward Kirk Jackson. The Dutch stopper has left the club by mutual consent, while Jackson - who has failed to impress since signing from Worksop Town last March - has been loaned out to Nationwide Conference side Stevenage Borough.
