EXPERTS are monitoring work on a new multi-million pound community hospital.
As work continues on the site close to the old Winterton Hospital, in Sedgefield, County Durham, officials from Faithful and Gould are checking to ensure the scheme proceeds without any hitches.
The company was appointed by the Royal Bank of Scotland to carry out a review of the Private Finance Initiative (PFI), through which the hospital is being built.
The 42-bed hospital is being developed by Normanby Health Care, a consortium consisting of the Royal Bank of Scotland and construction, development and distribution company Clugston.
It will contain an extended x-ray department with an ultrasound facility.
It is expected to be completed in the summer when it will be handed over to South Durham Healthcare Trust
