A man accused of a New Year's Day murder appeared in court yesterday.
Mazhar Ali, 25, of Price Road, Stockton, appeared at Teesside Crown Court accused of murdering Colin Arnold on January 1. Mr Arnold died early on New Year's Day, outside a house in Brignall Road, Stockton.
Mr Ali spoke only to confirm his name and the case was adjourned until March 22, when a plea and directions hearing will be held. Mr Ali was remanded in custody.
