PEOPLE in Derwentside have been invited to talk to a solicitor about making a will and get free expert advice.

The service is being arranged by Age Concern Durham County in partnership with Nicholson Martin Legge and Miller Solicitors.

Where appropriate, a simple will can also be offered free of charge on the day.

Age Concern has organised a Will Advice Day on Thursday, at Age Concern Pop-In, Annfield Plain. People aged 50 or over are invited to telephone the organisation for an appointment.

Veronica Lewis, Age Concern Durham County's Information Officer said: "Every month we get many queries from older people about making a will. Although most people know in the back of their minds that they should have one, they still put it off.

"We want to convince people that making a will is an important part of planning for the future."

To book an appointment, or for general information about making a will, contact Veronica Lewis on 0191-386 3856.
