Gilesgate Community and Welfare Association is running three free courses covering a range of computer subjects at Gilesgate Sports College, in Bradford Crescent, Durham.
For absolute beginners, a basic skills course, covering Microsoft Works, Publisher and Excel, will run on Mondays, from 1.30pm to 3pm.
A "next steps'' course, for people with basic knowledge, will also be held on Mondays, between noon and 1.30pm.
Becoming Web Wise will cover the Internet, navigating the web, accessing a search engine, Internet legislation, sending and receiving e-mails and setting up an e-mail account. It will be held on Fridays, between 11.15am and 12.15pm.
All the courses will last between six and ten weeks.
