A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder and a string of firearms offences.
Britton Corner denied the charges, which all relate to the same incident on April 14, last year, during a hearing at Newcastle Crown Court, yesterday.
The 40-year-old, of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to having a 9mm self-loading pistol and ammunition at Nevison Avenue, in South Shields, South Tyneside, possessing the gun with intent to cause fear of violence towards Graham Ebanks, and possessing the pistol with intent to endanger life.
He also denied attempting to murder and causing grievous bodily harm to Mr Ebanks. Corner was remanded in custody until April 22
