A CULT North-East Mod band has reformed and is recording their latest album.
The Threads regularly played capacity shows around UK and Europe in the 1980s, despite receiving little airplay or exposure in the music press.
But, with guests artists joining them in the studio - including Ian McLagan, from The Faces, and Quadrophenia author Alan Fletcher providing cover artwork - the band hopes to release Long Apart and Worlds Ago in June.
The County Durham band's first new single since reforming, a double A-side of In This Town and Sorry, is available from Twist records.
