THE Kirkby Malzeard Millennium Banner, featuring houses from the village and surrounding area, has gone on show in Ripon.
The banner made by local people is getting a special showing at the Fabric Hall shop, in North Street.
Residents living in 300 homes donated £3,000 to have properties featured on the parish's celebratory banner.
The cash went towards the £300,000 Mechanics Institute hall refurbishment fund.
The artwork took a group of nimble-fingered volunteers almost a year to make, but putting it on display was delayed because of fears of spreading foot-and-mouth disease in the area.
The banner also features properties from Dallowgill and nearby Laverton.
Dozens of people turned up to see a sneak preview of the banner last year with the artist in residence, Margaret Crosfield, pointing out features of interest
