BUSINESSES and shops were left without power yesterday after a fourth fault in five days at an electricity substation.
Since early on Wednesday, the primary substation next to the Yarm Road and McMullen Road roundabout, in Darlington, has suffered two switchgear faults and two cable faults.
But NEDL, the supply arm of Northern Electric, said the problem was now resolved.
Yesterday's power cut affected 20 business and retail customers in the area from 7.46am to 11.09am, when the final premises went back on line, said John Gudger, of NEDL
