NEW COURSES: Bishop Auckland College in the Community has is offering new courses at Howden-le- Wear Community Centre.

A class in aromatherapy and reflexology starts tomorrow, at 1pm, and a painting and drawing course at 6pm.

A course called Are Computers a Mystery starts on Thursday, February 14, and runs between 6.15pm and 8.15pm.

CHARITY NIGHT: Diamond Jack, a country and western line dancing group, will entertain at the Elite Hall, Crook on Friday, at 7.30pm.

DISCO DATE: Crook Town Cricket Club is holding a family disco on Saturday, from 7pm to 10.30pm. Admission is 50p.

TV SHOW: Crook Town Football Club are hoping to host a Tyne Tees Television Sports Show featuring North-East soccer legends Malcolm Macdonald, Eric Gates and Bernie Slaven.

Club secretary Alan Stewart said Crook Town had agreed to host the show and were waiting to finalise a date.

LONDON FIGHT: Crook light welterweight boxer Nigel White will travel to London for his next fight.

Nigel will fight Welshman Keith Jones in a four-round contest at York Hall, Bethnal Green, on Saturday.

REHEARSALS CALL: Crook and Weardale Choral Singers have started to rehearse Olivet to Calvary, which will be a feature of their March concerts.
